Over the past few weeks, we celebrated our values month in Boyne Community School. Our school values are displayed proudly on our school jumpers. They are “MEAS, MÓRTAS, MUINTEARAS ” which means Respect, Pride and Belonging. Over the few weeks, we focused on those values, what they mean, and how they can be practised in school. Over the few weeks, we were lucky to have guest speakers speaking to our students and parents. These talks concerned cyber safety, communication, well-being, respect and diversity. The speakers we had were from – LawEd, Motus Learning, Wolf Academy, Alan Shortt Communications, The Shona Project, As I AM, and Don’t be Mean Behind Your Screen. All the speakers brought a lot and we are hoping all students took something away from this celebration.
