Transition year students visited Kilmainham Gaol yesterday. It is most famous for the many Irish revolutionaries, including the leaders of the 1916 Easter rising, that were imprisoned and executed in the prison.
We found the history & stories of the museum so fascinating and it really enhanced our views on prison life and the plight of the 1916 revolutionaries! A huge thank you to Ms O’Connor for organising the trip.
