Our TY students completed a comprehensive three-day Leadership in Sports programme this week, building essential leadership skills, deepening their understanding of inclusion, and preparing for sports-specific training including basketball and handball. Over the first two days, they focused on developing leadership abilities, problem-solving, teamwork, and risk assessment. They learned how to plan, lead, and evaluate effective programmes, gaining skills that will benefit them in both academic and extracurricular settings.
On the third day, students engaged in disability and inclusion training, exploring diverse groups and strategies for adapting programmes to ensure inclusivity. A sincere thanks to Meath County Council and Sports Ireland for delivering the course.
