A wonderful production brought to us from Ballet Ireland, The Greenhouse was a unique experience for the TY students. Few of the students have ever seen a ballet production and when we were presented the opportunity on Friday the 7th of October in Solstice in Navan, we were delighted to attend. The show lasted for 50 minutes and it was completely choreographed and composed to contemporary music which gave the students a more accessible introduction to ballet.  Solstice and Ballet Ireland offered us an intimate Q & A with the performers and director of The Greenhouse. The students jumped at the  chance to ask some questions about how the performers trained for productions? How long does it take to become a ballet dancer? Plus many questions about the footwear they used. All in all, we had a fantastic day out and learned so much about the art form of ballet.
