Boyne CS Stars Shine as 2024 Kennedy Cup Runners-Up
The (2010) Northeast Regional League Academy team (NERL) reached the Kennedy Cup final for the first time today at the University of Limerick.
Hard luck to our seven Boyne CS soccer stars and their teammates, who were narrowly defeated 2-1 by South Belfast in today’s final.
Despite the disappointment, the team had a remarkable tournament. They dominated the early group stages of the competition and overcame Cork and Galway to reach the final.
The team can be very proud of their achievement, scoring 16 goals, achieving five clean sheets, and conceding only two.
Special mention goes to our star student, Conor H, who represents Trim Celtic and was runner-up in the Golden Boot Competition with six goals.
Congratulations to the boys, their team coaches, families, soccer clubs and supporters in Limerick today.
