The Green Schools Committee would like to thank everyone who took part in Fairtrade Week during the 6th to the 10th of March. Many thanks to those who donated their used clothes. We managed to collect 600kg of clothing and this will all either be reworn or recycled.
As well as this we held our poster competition. The 1st place winner was Bao O’Curry, 2nd place was Elisabeth Parsons and 3rd place was Céalain O’Connor.
Finally, the winners of the ‘Guess the number of recycled bottles’ competitions were: Jamie Tomney (1st Year), Amy O’Keefe (2nd Year), Milly McKay (3rd Year), Emily Dine (5th Year) and Emma Counihan (6th Year).
Well done to all involved and please remember to buy Fairtrade products where possible.
