Boyne Community School are thrilled to welcome Irish activist Joanne O’Riordan for her highly acclaimed “No Limbs, No Limits” motivation talk. The students have a day off on Thursday the 4th of February, and so this webinar has been organised to offer something very exciting on that day. This talk is for our 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th years. Joanne O Riordan is an Irish activist and sports journalist who contributes to The Irish Times, from County Cork. She is one of seven currently living people born with the condition Tetra-Amelia syndrome (born without any limbs). She has addressed the United Nations and discussed technology with Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Apple. She was named “Person of the Year” in both 2012 and 2013. She is a sports journalist/podcaster/motivational speaker and supposed to be a bit of a comedian as well. Joanna will do her talk with all senior students on Thursday 4th at 11AM (previous text said 1pm, this has now changed), log on details will be posted to Year Group Notification pages. This is a great opportunity for all our senior students.
