Green Schools – Ireland’s Weather Channel
On Wednesday, the Green Schools Committee invited climate scientist and meteorologist Cathal Nolan of ‘Ireland’s Weather Channel’ (on Facebook and Instagram) to speak to TY and 3rd year students about measuring the weather and climate change.
Cathal provided some fascinating insights into Trim’s changing climate and landscape from hundreds of millions of years ago to where we are today. In addition, Cathal outlined what may happen regarding climate change in the future.
The talks were informative and sparked many questions and conversations among the students in the discussion sessions afterwards.
