The Green Schools Committee will be celebrating ‘Climate Action Week’ during the 10-14th of October.
- Art/Craft Competition- Draw/make an art piece that demonstrates the importance of looking after the environment. Entries can be submitted to asweeney@boynecs.ie or in the entry box at the main door of the school. The deadline is 15.50pm on Thursday the 13th. First place will get a €20 ‘All for One’ gift voucher, second place will get a €15 voucher.
- First Year Biodiversity Walk Competition- Each of the First Year Classes in Science will be brought out (weather depending) on a Biodiversity Walk where they are required to find, identify and photograph as many different species of plants/animals/birds/insects as they can find. The student with the most species identified from each class will get a prize.
- ‘Movie Lunch’- Avoid the cold and the rain by relaxing and watching ‘The Lorax’ on Thursday in Room 20 at 11.50am. Collect your lunch and then make your way to the room. Popcorn will be available!
