Yesterday was the first day of “Friendship Week” in Boyne Community School .
The theme this year is our school motto “Meas, Mórtas , Muintearas “ which means respect , pride , belonging”
The aim of the week is to promote and encourage friendship , kindness, respect and tolerance.
There are several events taking place to mark friendship week . Students all picked a person on Friday during tutor time and the task is to be extra kind to that person this week . We had speakers from Law Ed to talk about Cyber bullying to our junior students and also Finbar from “As I am” came to talk about autism awareness to our TY students.
Both talks were very informative and the students got a lot out of them
