On Wednesday 24th of May, two students from the committee attended the Green Flag Ceremony in CityNorth Hotel, Gormanston, Co. Meath in order to be awarded the school’s very first Green Flag in Litter and Waste.  We then had our own flag ceremony on Thursday the 25th of May, sadly missing some of our great committee members who are currently on their TY trip to Barcelona or studying for their upcoming Leaving Certificate exams.

Our journey began four years ago until it was delayed by COVID 19 and the committee had to start again.  We are delighted that we have finally attained our first flag.  Well done to all of the committee members and many thanks to the cleaners, caretakers, students and staff in the school as well as Trim Tidy Towns who helped us along the way.  In September, we look forward to shifting our focus towards our next flag which focuses on energy conservation.
