A huge thank you to Ms O’Brien for the harp concert/workshop she gave to 1st & 2nd year music classes this morning. Ms O’Brien explained the history of the Irish harp, demonstrated how to tune & play the instrument and performed some of Meath harpist Turlough O’Carolan’s most well known tunes. It was a wonderful opportunity for the music classes to hear our national instrument performed at its best.
