Our Transition Year visited the Ombudsman for Children in Dublin, where they participated in engaging activities centered on children’s rights. Our TY students took part in walking debates, exploring various perspectives on children’s rights in Ireland, and worked in groups to examine the rights outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
We also learned about the vital role the Ombudsman for Children plays in advocating for and protecting these rights. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ombudsman for Children for funding this interactive workshop, which provided our students with a deeper understanding of these important issues in a very enjoyable setting.
