Transition Year students have successfully completed the Adventure Journey aspect of their Gaisce Award. Students visited Glendalough where they hiked the Spinc Trail. They were very impressed with the natural beauty of the landscape. The trail ascended steeply on a path up by Poulanass Waterfall before joining a boardwalk and wooden steps leading to a spectacular viewing point overlooking the Upper Lake. As students have now completed the Physical Recreation challenge area, they are on track to receive their Bronze Gaisce Awards shortly.
