Congratulations to Patrick Cribbin, Ciaran Enright and Sean Harrigan who have been successful in getting through to the 3rd stage of the Certified Irish Angus Beef Competition. To begin with, they had to create a 3 minute video about themselves, the school, why they would like to participate in the competition and their ideas for the project. Based on this video, they were chosen to get to the next stage which was an interview with representatives from the Certified Irish Angus Society, Kepak and ABP which took place in Airfield Estate in early January. Their excellent performance in the interview has led them to the 3rd stage which will be held in Croke Park in March. They will be exhibiting their ideas and plans for their final project based on sustainable and efficient methods of finishing Angus beef. They are currently in the top 40 schools out of 180 entered. 5 schools will be chosen in Croke Park to win Certified Irish Angus calves to carry out the final project. Patrick, Ciaran and Sean have been working very hard throughout the competition and are excited to represent Boyne Community School in Croke Park. A huge well done to the three students and thanks to Ms Murphy for supporting them throughout the process.
