The Department of Education has announced the opening of a wide-ranging national consultation process on Guidance at post primary level.
The process is being undertaken by the Department of Education as part of the National Strategic Framework for Lifelong Guidance: Strategic Action Plan 2024-2030. It progresses the Programme for Government commitment to enhance guidance services in schools, as well as the Department of Education’s commitment to developing post-primary guidance as part of lifelong guidance across the country.
This consultation focuses on the effectiveness of the guidance-allocation model and the provision of whole-school guidance in post-primary schools.
The consultation period will run until 5pm on 9 April.
As part of the consultation process the Department has launched a survey to gather the views of stakeholders.
