Boyne CS vs St. Oliver’s Community College 17/11/22
Boyne Community School opened their Senior championship campaign with a tough win against the Drogheda based school St. Oliver’s. It was a real winter’s game of football with the cold and wet conditions harming the flow of the game.
The Dunderry lads made up the bulk of the scoring accounting for 10 points of the teams total with Mark Leavy, Jack Conneely and Rian Fay kicking some super scores. Mark Brennan, Manuel Magno, Cathal Regan and Luke Boggan must be commended for their defending and tackling throughout the game. Special mention goes to Padraig Walsh, Kyle Ennis and Aaron O’Rourke who are the younger lads on the team who used this match as a warm up before they went out and won the North Leinster U16 hurling championship against St. Pats of Navan the day after.
