In adverse conditions at the MDL grounds, our first-year boy’s soccer team displayed resilience and courage, securing a hard-fought victory against Colaiste na Mhi Community College.

The cold and wet weather did little to deter the team’s spirits as they battled to success. Star strikers Oran (Parkceltic, Summerhill) and Ronan (Trim Celtic) netted two crucial goals in the first half, ultimately sealing the win.

The boys’ outstanding performance is a testament to their dedication and talent, bringing pride to their families, clubs, and the Boyne Community School.

Remarkably, the boys have navigated through the entire group and knockout stages of the northeast Leinster league without conceding and scoring 17 goals.

Their journey continues as they await the Northeast Leinster final, scheduled for next Friday, March 8. While the venue and kickoff time are yet to be confirmed, anticipation is high as they prepare to face an equally strong De La Salle College, Dundalk, in what promises to be an exciting showdown.
