Active Schools Week 2023

So on Monday 24th April we kicked off a very busy Active Schools Week with skills challenges in Gaelic Football, Hurling/Camogie and also Soccer. Students from all Year groups had the opportunity to test their skill in a range of challenges looking at technique, control, accuracy and power. The students really enjoyed these sessions with many coming away with medals!!!

On each of the remaining days last week Year Groups took part in 3 – 6 hours of sporting activities competing in Athletics, Obstacle Courses, Tug-o-War, Soccer, Basketball and Dodgeball, as well as some fun activities such as wheel barrow races. The students were excellent all week with a really positive and fun atmosphere present throughout all the activities. The students engaged to a superb standard all week with many being rewarded for their hard work with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. It really was an excellent week and well done to all.
