Boyne CS 2 – 0 De La Salle College, Dundalk

In a dazzling display of skill, grit and determination, our Boyne Galácticos secured a resounding 2-0 victory in the All Ireland Cup Competition against De La Salle College, Dundalk, held at the Dundalk Sports Centre today.

This extraordinary team is a constellation of promising talents, boasting six players who have already earned distinction as members of the North East Counties Schoolboy League Emerging Talent Academy Programme for both u14 and u13 categories (Shane, Scott, Finn, Liam, George, Oran).

With eleven stellar individual players representing Trim Celtic AFC, Parkceltic Summerhill FC & Athboy FC, the team embodies the essence of a unified powerhouse of teamwork and excellence. Notably, the team boasts excellent substitute players who seamlessly contribute to the team’s success and played a huge part in today’s positive result.

Shane, our goalkeeper, remained as reliable as ever when dealing with high balls and was honored with the man-of-the-match accolade at the conclusion of the game. The crucial goals that secured the well-deserved and hard-fought victory for Boyne Community School were netted by star striker Oran in the 21st minute and full-back Conall in the 59th minute.

The school community is buzzing with excitement due to the stellar performances of our team in recent times. We are thrilled to announce the active participation of 78 first-year boys in our lunchtime soccer club league every Monday afternoon. We have high hopes and dreams for this special group of players, and we look forward to seeing their continued growth and enjoyment in the beautiful game.

Congratulations, boys! Keep up the hard work, keep your feet on the ground, stay dedicated to your training, and continue to enjoy every moment.
