Congratulations to Leaving Cert music student Dawid Walega who won the Dorothy Stokes Cup and Gold Medal in the 2023 Feis Ceoil Junior Piano Sonata Competition.
Dawid, who attends the Royal Irish Academy with Professor Réamonn Keary, had to compete in three rounds before reaching and then winning the final where he performed Chopin’s Sonata No.3 in B minor.
As a result of his win, Dawid has received an invitation to attend the Perugia Music Festival in Italy this summer where he will have the opportunity to practice and perform with an orchestra.
